September 15, 2010 -- Black & Pink Ball Recipient Here is your opportunity to learn more about the non-profit recipient for this year's annual Black & Pink Ball. October 20, 2010 -- Woman of Distinction Award Each year, Mid-Day Women's Alliance chooses a woman from the community to present this award to. The award is open to members and non-members. November 17, 2010 -- The Value of Mentoring During this meeting, our speakers will talk about the value of mentoring at all ages and stages of life. Dawn Gohlke is the Executive Director of Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha, and will discuss the importance of child/adult mentoring relationships. Monica Vomastic is the President & CEO of Landmark Staffing Company, and will discuss adult/adult mentoring. Then, we will have an overview of the mentoring program available to all Mid-Day Women's Alliance members. December Date TBD -- Annual Black & Pink Ball Janurary 19, 2010 -- Domestic Violence Awareness Kadihjia Kelly, MSE is the Community Education Coordinator & Outreach Advocate at Harbor House. February 16, 2011 -- Work Smarter, Not Harder! Tana Borron-Jerde and Jody Jedlicka, LearningRx – Master Cognitive Skills Trainers In these busy times, women are pulled in more directions than they can count or often keep up with. There are times when we can’t fit even 5 more minutes into our day. Rather than “finding the time,” making better use of our time can make more sense. The brain experts at LearningRx can help! Let us show you how improving your memory and attention skills can help you work smarter. There are simple activities that you can do on the fly that can not only change your skills, but also your efficiency. What would you do with an extra few minutes of time in your day? March 16, 2011 – Speed Networking Bring your business cards to this meeting as we will use the principle of "speed dating" to meet multiple people at this event during short timeframes.
